O’ROURKE SEEKS EXPANSION TO MAYNOOTH PARK AND RIDE

Frank O’Rourke TD has called on the Government to increase the resources to Irish Rail to provide additional park and ride places for Maynooth Bus and Rail commuters

‘One of my first meetings when I got elected in February was in relation to public transport services. I was delighted that in April, the NTA put the provision of a bus service from Naas to Blanchardstown via Clane, Rathcoffey and Maynooth on its agenda following my representations.’

‘Progress has also been made in improving the Bus Service for Kilcock commuters and now we have made significant progress on providing a Park and Ride for Kilcock. However, Maynooth needs more park and ride place and I believe that resources should be provided to increase the number of car parking place in Maynooth for public transport users.’ Stated Deputy O’Rourke.

‘Maynooth is served well by both Rail and Bus from a timetable perspective, but given the low cost of money, the Government should provide capital for extra park and ride places. I will continue to raise this matter in the Dail.’ Concluded Deputy O’Rourke.

O’ROURKE WELCOMES NEW KILCOCK BUS SERVICE

Frank O’Rourke TD has welcomed the new 115 Bus service for Kilcock commuters

‘Following representations that I made over the last couple of months to Bus Eireann to improve the bus service for Kilcock commuters, I was delighted that Bus Eireann put a new evening service on Route 115 in place, departing Dublin at 5.10pm. This commenced on Monday 19th of September.’

‘Each day this week, 35 to 40 commuters are using the new 5.10pm service from Dublin to Kilcock. This is a very positive response to the new service and it shows that once we develop a public transport service that is regular and reliable, more and more people will use public transport,’ Continue reading “O’ROURKE WELCOMES NEW KILCOCK BUS SERVICE”
