O’ROURKE SEEKS ORBITAL BUS ROUTE FOR NORTH-EAST KILDARE

Frank O’Rourke TD has again called on the National Transport Authority (NTA) to approve an orbital route from Maynooth to Tallaght via Celbridge, Rathcoole and City West.

“I know from my clinics that there is a growing demand for a service linking Maynooth and Celbridge to City West and Tallaght, Many commuters need this connection for work, Education, hospital visits, and connections to other public transport services and for recreational purposes.”

“We have seen the success of Orbital Route 139 linking Naas to Blanchardstown via Clane, Rathcoffey, Maynooth and Leixlip. Recently additional services have been added to this route to cater for increased demand. I campaigned for this service and we see the value it in now bringing.”

“We need to improve our public transport services and the demand for public transport grows. It is becoming almost impossible to drive into Dublin. We need to improve our Public Transport service for all the towns in North Kildare and providing this orbital route from Celbridge and Maynooth to Tallaght is another link that is needed. I will continue to campaign for this Orbital Route.”
